be able to work with all files in a particular folder tree rather than with one folder at a time

And be able to see what changes would result before I accept them. This would seem to be a real timesaver.

Although it is presently possible to work on sub-folders with the mass-tagger there's no option to undo such operations. Eek!

I already made a different software before TagTuner with such feature. It is very hard to implement because of the current architecture and a lot of garbage users have in their files.

You'll be surprised to know that other taggers leave megabytes of garbage in MP3s and put 5000x5000 cover image scans without resizing.

Having a "tree" with current interface will overload the support. Because TagTuner is not just reading the tags it can display. It preserves all other tags between the edits + some other memory consuming things. This may cause memory problems.

Thanks for the reply. Having just played with EasyTag, at different levels in a folder tree, I can appreciate the memory problem with the GUI.

Two possibilities:
1. Is there some way of making it possible to tackle multiple folders by filtering in some way (Folders beginning with 'B' or containing 'Bach') usign the existing GUI?

2. With an amended mass tagger, would it be possible to leave the program running overnight, suggesting changes to be made on an entire folder tree/drive (including relocating files to new directories) which the user could accept/reject.

I'm just looking for time-savings that can make use of macros/templates in an effective manner.

Hard to tell you any promising words right now. I need to think, look at the code, try to put changes and maybe ask my very premium users about this.

Let's put it after this day ends and I'll complete some of the suggestions.

The automation is good. But it needs be useful to some part of the users and easy to understand.

Yes, I appreciate that the suggestion goes beyond tweaking what you already have. Thanks for listening.
